Trump says he will ‘recommend’ rather than force Gaza expulsion plan

Former U.S. President Donald Trump appeared to soften his stance on relocating Gaza’s population, saying he was only recommending the idea, not enforcing it.

His initial proposal, which suggested U.S. control over Gaza and pressuring Egypt and Jordan to accept displaced Palestinians, faced rejection from both countries.

Trump acknowledged their opposition but defended his plan as viable, NDTV has reported.

His remarks came as Arab leaders met in Riyadh to discuss an alternative reconstruction proposal for Gaza.
