President Trump’s newly confirmed FBI director, Kash Patel, is set to lead the ATF, with an official appointment expected next week.

The ATF has faced Republican criticism for restricting gun rights, especially under Biden.

Trump recently signed an order reversing policies seen as limiting Second Amendment rights.

Attorney General Pam Bondi also dismissed ATF’s chief counsel, citing anti-gun owner bias, NBC News has reported.

Patel’s confirmation as FBI director was narrowly approved, with two Republican senators opposing him.
