President Donald Trump announced that Dan Bongino will be the next deputy director of the FBI, following Kash Patel’s appointment as FBI director.
Bongino, a former NYPD officer, Secret Service agent, and successful podcaster, holds a Master’s in Psychology and an MBA.
Trump praised his dedication to justice and his readiness to serve, alongside Attorney General Pam Bondi and Director Patel, Fox News has reported.
Bongino thanked Trump and the others on X (formerly Twitter).
Patel, confirmed as FBI director after a narrow Senate vote, is a strong critic of the investigations into Trump, and his confirmation has sparked scrutiny over FBI politicization.
