She accused Trump of worsening the economy with tariffs and pushing for a “giveaway to his billionaire friends.”

Slotkin, a first-term senator, warned that Trump’s economic policies could lead to a recession, citing rising national debt and inflation.

She also expressed concern about the risk to democracy under Trump’s leadership, the Associated Press has reported.

Slotkin, who has a background in national security, focused on economic issues and emphasized the need for responsible change, contrasting it with Trump’s chaotic approach.
