Florida opens criminal investigation into Tate brothers

Florida has launched a criminal investigation into Andrew and Tristan Tate, who recently arrived from Romania, where they faced rape and human trafficking charges.

Attorney General James Uthmeier confirmed the inquiry, issuing search warrants and subpoenas.

The brothers also face a U.S. civil suit and separate charges in the UK.

They deny all allegations.

Their lawyer criticized Uthmeier’s statements as biased.

The Tates are expected to return to Romania in March, but it remains unclear if they will comply, the BBC has reported.

UK authorities are also seeking Andrew Tate’s extradition for separate charges.
