Impeached South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol was released from prison on Saturday, intensifying political divisions in the country.
Yoon, facing insurrection charges for his failed attempt to declare martial law in December, was released after a court ruled his detention was unjust.
His conservative supporters rallied around him, with some even adopting Trump-like slogans and symbols.
Yoon, who remains suspended from office, still faces a trial over the insurrection and his impeachment.
His release sparked criticism from opposition parties, calling it an act of surrender, while his supporters viewed it as a victory, NBC News has reported.
The Constitutional Court is expected to rule on his impeachment soon.
