Armed militants from the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) attacked the Jaffar Express Train in Pakistan’s Balochistan region, taking several passengers hostage.

The attack occurred after the group bombed the track in the remote Sibi district.

The BLA claimed control of the train, the BBC has reported.

As of Wednesday morning, 16 militants were killed, and 104 passengers were rescued.
