Democrats are launching a nationwide series of “People’s Town Halls” in Republican-held districts to highlight unpopular GOP policies and capitalize on recent Republican efforts to avoid in-person forums.

The initial wave targets nine vulnerable House Republicans in battleground states ahead of the 2026 midterms.

Inspired by Senator Bernie Sanders’ town halls, the initiative includes events led by figures like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Gov. Tim Walz, DNYUZ has reported.

The effort, backed by major Democratic organizations, aims to challenge Republican control and engage voters directly.
