Judge says dismantling of USAID was unconstitutional, orders Musk to restore access

A federal judge ruled that Elon Musk’s attempt to dismantle USAID likely violated the U.S. Constitution, ordering him to restore employee access and halt further shutdown efforts.

Judge Theodore Chuang stated Musk’s actions usurped Congress’ authority.

The Trump administration had already slashed USAID’s workforce and funding, sparking concerns that dismantling the agency would weaken U.S. influence and harm vulnerable global populations, ABC News has reported.
