Russian President Vladimir Putin has demanded a halt to Western arms supplies to Ukraine as a condition for a ceasefire, sources say.
During a visit by Trump’s envoy Steve Witkoff to Moscow, Putin reportedly called this a mandatory requirement, with Russia aiming to cut off U.S. aid at minimum.
Russian sources claim the suspension would be temporary until a peace deal limiting Ukraine’s military is reached, Bloomberg has reported.
However, a European official stated that Europe is unlikely to agree, warning that it could allow Russia to rearm while leaving Ukraine vulnerable.
