Four U.S. soldiers were reportedly found dead in Lithuania after disappearing during a training mission.
A major search was launched after their tracked vehicle vanished around 4:45 PM yesterday.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte acknowledged the deaths but provided no further details.
The soldiers, from the 1st Brigade of the 3rd Infantry Division, were conducting scheduled tactical training at the General Silvestras Žukauskas training ground in Pabradė.
Lithuanian and U.S. forces, along with rescue teams, identified a possible location and deployed helicopters for the search, the Express has reported.
Authorities have yet to confirm the circumstances of their disappearance.
