A mass stabbing near Amsterdam’s Dam Square left at least five people wounded.

The attack occurred around 3:30 PM local time on Sint Nicolaasstraat, causing panic among bystanders.

Witnesses reported seeing an elderly woman stabbed, though police have not confirmed victim details.

Emergency services, including ambulances and a trauma helicopter, responded, and the area was temporarily cordoned off.

A suspect, described as a hooded man, has been arrested, though the motive remains unclear.

Police are investigating, urging witnesses with footage to come forward, the Daily Mail has reported.
