Barack Obama urged U.S. citizens, colleges, and law firms to resist Donald Trump’s political agenda, warning that Americans may need to sacrifice for democratic values.

Speaking at Hamilton College, Obama criticized the Trump administration’s actions against universities that support free speech, particularly regarding Palestinian rights and antisemitism.

He emphasized the importance of defending academic freedom and standing up against government intimidation.

Obama also raised concerns about corporate law firms’ silence on political interference and questioned the White House’s restrictions on media access, The Guardian has reported.

He called for more action from those who claim to support progressive causes.
