President Trump announced a 75-day delay in enforcing the TikTok sale-or-ban law, which was set to take effect on April 5.
This delay comes after Trump’s tariff announcement complicated a deal that would transfer control of TikTok’s U.S. operations to American ownership.
Although a deal was nearly finalized, negotiations stalled due to China’s concerns over the new tariffs.
Trump expressed hope for a resolution but acknowledged more time is needed, CNN has reported.
This delay allows TikTok’s 170 million U.S. users to continue using the app, though the long-term future of the app remains uncertain amid ongoing trade tensions with China.
