Heavy rain is drenching the Northeast on Monday as parts of the U.S. recover from last week’s deadly spring storms, which caused major flooding and killed at least 21 people across several states.
Kentucky was especially hard hit, with record rainfall, widespread flooding, and over 40 rescues.
More than 9 million people remain under flood watches in the Southeast, and river levels continue rising, with 19 rivers already in major flood stage.
Since Wednesday, there have been 93 tornadoes reported, NBC News has reported.
The rain threat is expected to ease by Monday night as a cold front moves offshore.
