China calls on world to unite against ‘Trump tyranny’

China announced a new 84% tariff on U.S. imports in retaliation for President Trump’s increased tariffs on Chinese goods, which had already reached up to 125%.

This follows heightened tensions from the ongoing trade war, with China expressing firm opposition to U.S. actions, calling them “reckless” and “bullying.”

The tariffs will take effect on April 10, further escalating global market uncertainty.

While Trump remains committed to the tariffs, aiming to boost U.S. manufacturing jobs, stock markets have been impacted, and Republican lawmakers are expressing concern about the economic consequences, The Mirror has reported.

Canada also retaliated with its own tariffs, imposing a 25% levy on U.S. auto imports under the USMCA agreement.
