The DOJ and U.S. Coast Guard seized 45,000 pounds of cocaine worth over $500 million in a major bust tied to the CJNG and Sinaloa cartels, officials announced Wednesday at Port Everglades, Florida.
The 11-day operation involved drones, aircraft, and ships, leading to 11 arrests.
Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel praised the interagency effort, vowing to dismantle cartel operations, ABC News has reported.
Since February, the Coast Guard has seized over 59 metric tons of narcotics.
