Foreign students sue Trump officials over revoked visas as 1,000 affected

Hundreds of international students across U.S. universities have had their visas or legal residency status revoked since mid-March, prompting lawsuits against the Trump administration.

Students claim the government denied them due process and terminated their status without clear justification, sometimes over minor infractions like old traffic violations.

At least 1,300 students from over 200 schools have been affected.

Colleges, including Harvard, Stanford, and public universities, say the sudden actions are unprecedented and creating fear, The Guardian has reported.

Some students have already left the U.S. to avoid detention. Legal challenges are ongoing in several states.
