The CDC and California are offering $25 gift cards to encourage testing and seasonal flu vaccinations near farms amid bird flu concerns.
The program, called AFAST, targets communities near outbreak sites.
Despite social media rumors, officials confirm testing for symptomatic farmworkers has not been stopped or discouraged.
Neighboring states like Nevada and Idaho also continue testing and treatment efforts, CBS News has reported.
So far, all tested human flu cases in California have been seasonal strains, with no new H5N1 (bird flu) cases found.
