A tragic crash in Chatham, Illinois, left four young people dead—18-year-old Rylee Britton and three children, Ainsley Johnson, 8, and 7-year-olds Kathryn Corley and Alma Buhnerkempe—when a car drove through a building used by the YNOT after-school camp.
Six other children were hospitalized, one in critical condition.
Authorities say the crash doesn’t appear to be intentional.
The community of 15,000 is grieving deeply, holding vigils, wearing red ribbons, and offering support, the Associated Press has reported.
The 44-year-old female driver was hospitalized for evaluation as police continue to investigate.’
