Four dead, two injured in Minneapolis shootings that may be connected

Three people were killed and two injured in a targeted shooting late Tuesday in south Minneapolis, followed by another fatal shooting nearby just 12 hours later, which authorities believe may be connected and possibly retaliatory.

All victims are believed to be Native American. City officials and police pledged strong support and increased presence in the area, while community organizations are providing counseling and resources.

One bullet in the second shooting narrowly missed two small children in an SUV, which police called “outrageous” and “senseless,” MPR News has reported.
