ICE and Florida authorities arrested over 1,100 undocumented immigrants in a weeklong crackdown called Operation Tidal Wave, marking the largest state-led operation in ICE history.

The arrests, 63% of which involved individuals with prior criminal records, included violent offenders, gang members, and fugitives.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis praised the operation as a major step in enforcing immigration laws and criticized the Biden administration’s border policies, Fox News has reported.

ICE officials called the operation a model for future state partnerships aimed at enhancing public safety.
