A 24-year-old University of Delaware graduate student was killed and several others injured after a man driving a stolen U-Haul truck fled police and crashed near campus.

The driver, 22-year-old Gordon Turner, struck pedestrians and parked cars before being arrested.

Authorities called the incident a senseless and avoidable tragedy, and Turner now faces multiple charges, including second-degree murder. He is also wanted in several other states, ABC News has reported.
