Judge rules Trump’s order targeting Perkins Coie is unconstitutional

A federal judge has ruled that President Trump’s executive order targeting law firm Perkins Coie is unconstitutional, blocking its enforcement.

U.S. District Judge Beryl Howell found the order violated multiple constitutional provisions, calling it an unprecedented attack on a law firm.

Issued in March, the order sought to revoke the firm’s access to federal buildings and security clearances, part of a broader effort to punish firms linked to Trump’s opponents, The Hill has reported.

Howell’s decision marks a legal win for Perkins Coie and criticizes the administration’s attempt to suppress dissenting views through government power.
