A bronze statue of Melania Trump has been stolen from a field near her hometown of Sevnica, Slovenia, after being cut off at the ankles.

The life-size sculpture, created by American artist Brad Downey, replaced a wooden version that was burned in 2020.

Police have launched an investigation, and Downey speculated the theft might be linked to Donald Trump’s election campaign, the New York Post has reported.
