Russia unleashes war’s biggest drone attack

Russia launched its largest drone attack on Ukraine since the start of the full-scale war, striking multiple regions including Kyiv, where one woman died and several others were injured.

Ukraine’s air force reported 273 drones were launched, with many intercepted or going off course.

The attack came ahead of a scheduled call between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, amid stalled peace talks and calls for a ceasefire.

Ukraine and Russia met for the first in-person talks in over three years in Turkey, agreeing only to a prisoner swap, the BBC has reported.

Meanwhile, Ukraine accuses Russia of preparing a missile launch to intimidate, as Zelensky visits the Vatican and calls for international pressure on Russia.
