Two Israeli Embassy staffers shot dead outside D.C.’s Capital Jewish Museum

Two Israeli embassy staff members, Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgram, were shot and killed outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday night.

The suspect, Elias Rodriguez of Chicago, allegedly shouted “Free Palestine” while in custody and confessed to the shooting.

Officials described the attack as antisemitic, with Israeli and U.S. leaders condemning it as an act of terrorism, NBC News has reported.

The victims were a young couple attending a Jewish event. Authorities confirmed there is no ongoing threat, and the FBI is investigating possible hate or terror motives.
