Kyiv was hit by a large-scale Russian missile and drone attack overnight, injuring at least 15 people and causing widespread damage.

Ukrainian officials reported that 14 ballistic missiles and 250 Shahed drones were launched, with most intercepted.

The assault coincided with a major prisoner swap between Russia and Ukraine, involving the exchange of 1,000 prisoners each, ABC News has reported.

Despite the exchange, fighting along the front lines continued, and diplomatic talks on a potential ceasefire remain stalled.
