Russia and Ukraine swap hundreds more prisoners hours after a massive attack on Kyiv

Russia and Ukraine exchanged 307 more prisoners each on Saturday, continuing a rare cooperative effort amid the ongoing war.

This followed an earlier swap of 390 prisoners each and is set to become the largest exchange since the conflict began.

The exchange came after a large-scale Russian drone and missile attack on Kyiv that injured at least 15, the Associated Press has reported.

Both sides expect further releases over the weekend, as part of a prisoner swap deal struck earlier this month in Istanbul.
