Shock vid shows half-frozen paraglider who was sucked 5 miles into sky by vortex

A paraglider in China was sucked 28,000 feet into the air by a rare “cloud suction” while flying over the Qilian Mountains.

The dramatic incident was caught on video, showing the paraglider enduring freezing conditions and frostbite.

Despite lacking an oxygen mask and being exposed to -40°C temperatures, he remained conscious and managed to land safely.

The paraglider, surnamed Ou, is considered lucky to have survived, The Sun has reported.

However, reports indicate he failed to file a flight plan or obtain airspace clearance, potentially facing penalties for violating Chinese aviation rules.
