Newsom says California will sue Trump over National Guard, dares Homan to arrest him

California Gov. Gavin Newsom announced that the state will sue the Trump administration over its deployment of the National Guard in Los Angeles without California’s consent.

Newsom called the federal takeover of the state Guard illegal, unconstitutional, and done without coordination with the governor.

He criticized Trump for escalating tensions and spreading misinformation about the Guard’s role.

Newsom also challenged border czar Tom Homan’s threat to arrest him or LA Mayor Karen Bass, saying, “Come after me, arrest me,” The Hill has reported.

Let’s just get it over with.”
