Bali flights cancelled after Indonesia volcano eruption

At least two dozen flights to and from Bali were cancelled after Indonesia’s Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki erupted, sending ash 10 km into the sky.

The volcano, located on Flores island, prompted the highest alert level and forced village evacuations.

Affected airlines include Jetstar, Virgin Australia, and Air India.

While Bali’s airport remains operational, cancellations depend on flight routes, the AFP has reported.

No casualties were reported. Indonesia frequently experiences volcanic activity due to its location on the Pacific “Ring of Fire.”
