A massive overnight Russian missile and drone attack on Ukraine killed 15 people and injured 156, with Kyiv suffering its deadliest strike this year.

A nine-story apartment building in the capital was destroyed, and explosions lasted nearly nine hours.

President Zelenskyy called it “one of the most terrifying strikes” and urged more Western support amid intensified Russian offensives, the Associated Press has reported.

The attack followed failed peace talks and came as the U.K. and Canada announced new sanctions on Russia and additional aid for Ukraine during the G7 summit.
