After briefly pausing immigration raids over economic concerns, the Trump administration has reversed course.
Border czar Tom Homan confirmed that ICE will resume worksite enforcement in the agriculture and hospitality sectors, including farms, restaurants, and hotels.
While the focus will be on individuals with criminal records, all unauthorized workers are subject to enforcement.
Homan emphasized legal hiring practices and blamed Congress for inaction on immigration reform, Axios has reported.
The shift comes after Trump acknowledged that aggressive policies were impacting hard-to-replace workers in key industries.
