Son of Norway’s crown princess charged with rape, sexual assault and bodily harm

Oslo police have charged Marius Borg Høiby, the 28-year-old son of Norway’s Crown Princess Mette-Marit, with rape, sexual assault, and bodily harm following a months-long investigation involving a “double-digit” number of alleged victims.

The charges include one count of rape involving intercourse, two counts without intercourse, four sexual assaults, and two cases of bodily harm.

Høiby has cooperated with police but denies most allegations, especially those of sexual abuse and violence, The Guardian has reported.

He remains free pending trial and maintains the presumption of innocence.

The royal palace has not commented.
