The House of Representatives is beginning final steps to approve President Trump’s sweeping “big, beautiful bill” after the Senate narrowly passed it with Vice President JD Vance casting the tie-breaking vote.
The bill, covering taxes, border security, energy, defense, and raising the debt limit by $5 trillion, faces potential challenges in the House, where just four GOP “no” votes could block it.
Key conservatives on the House Rules Committee have expressed concerns, and some warn the bill may not survive a procedural vote without changes, Fox News has reported.
Republican leaders aim to send the legislation to Trump’s desk by the July Fourth deadline to avoid a damaging government default.
