Elon Musk announced he is launching a new political party, the “America Party,” after a public feud with President Trump.

Promising to “give back your freedom,” Musk made the announcement on X following a poll in which over 65% of his followers supported the idea.

Details about the party’s registration, leadership, or policies remain unclear.

Musk cannot run for president himself since he was born in South Africa, the U.S. Sun has reported.

The move comes after Musk and Trump traded insults over spending plans, straining a relationship that once saw Musk back Trump with $250 million in campaign support.
