Two women were killed and two others wounded in a shooting at a church in Lexington, Kentucky, on Sunday after a suspect shot a state trooper during a traffic stop.
The suspect carjacked a vehicle, fled to Richmond Road Baptist Church, and opened fire before being shot dead by police.
The victims were a 72-year-old and a 32-year-old woman.
Police said the suspect may have known people at the church, the Associated Press has reported.
The trooper is in stable condition. The incident remains under investigation.
