A volcanic eruption on Iceland’s Reykjanes Peninsula forced the evacuation of tourists from the Blue Lagoon spa and a nearby campsite in Grindavik.
The eruption began after intense seismic activity, sending lava southeast from a fissure, though no infrastructure is currently threatened.
Grindavik has faced repeated volcanic activity since November 2023 after centuries of dormancy, ABC News has reported.
