Felon who allegedly barreled car through LA nightclub crowd faces 37 attempted murder charges

Fernando Ramirez, a 29-year-old convicted felon, has been indicted on 74 felony charges—37 counts each of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon—after allegedly driving his car into a crowd outside a Los Angeles nightclub, injuring 37 people.

The victims, mostly women, were waiting to enter the Vermont Hollywood nightclub when Ramirez plowed through them in a Nissan Versa.

Eight suffered serious injuries.

Ramirez, who has a long criminal history and was on parole at the time, was shot by a bystander during the incident, Fox News has reported.

He faces life in prison if convicted.
