Social media lit up after photos and videos showed a man dressed as Chuck E. Cheese being arrested by Tallahassee police at a local restaurant, shocking onlookers.
The man, later identified as Jermell Jones, a part-time employee, was charged with three felonies related to credit card fraud.
Police say Jones used a stolen credit card belonging to a customer who had hosted a party at the location.
When officers arrived to arrest him, he was in costume, resisted slightly, and was taken into custody, the Tallahassee Democrat has reported.
Jones has since been released on bond, and Chuck E. Cheese’s parent company confirmed disciplinary action was taken.
