Cincinnati police are investigating a violent downtown brawl captured in a viral video showing a man and woman being brutally beaten by a crowd.
The incident occurred Friday night near Elm and Fourth Streets.
The man was stomped and left bloodied, while the woman, who tried to help him, was knocked unconscious.
Police Chief Teresa Theetge condemned the attack as “cruel and unacceptable,” emphasizing it stemmed from a sudden verbal dispute and was unrelated to a nearby music festival, Fox News has reported.
Authorities are working to identify those involved and urge anyone with information to contact police.
