Passengers on an American Airlines flight from Denver to Miami were forced to evacuate via emergency slides Saturday after the plane aborted takeoff due to a possible landing gear issue.
One person was hospitalized with minor injuries, and six others were evaluated.
The Boeing 737 Max 8 reached high speed before the pilot aborted takeoff, with air traffic control reporting smoke and possible flames.
A small fire was extinguished by the Denver Fire Department.
The FAA is investigating, and passengers were later rebooked on another flight, ABC News has reported.
American Airlines apologized and praised the crew’s quick response.
