A persistent air leak on the International Space Station (ISS) continues despite years of repair efforts.
Originally traced in 2019 to the Russian Zvezda module, the leak has gradually worsened, with air loss doubling over six years.
Though recent fixes have reduced the leak, it remains unresolved. NASA and Roscosmos still disagree on the root cause.
While sealing attempts offered brief hope, long-term data shows the issue persists, Gizmodo has reported.
Roscosmos says permanent closure of the affected module may be considered, which would limit docking capacity but not disrupt overall ISS operations.
