NASA’s Chandra Telescope Reveals Stunning X-ray Views of Black Holes and Star Clusters

On July 23, 2025, NASA released nine stunning new images from the Chandra X-ray Observatory, offering an unprecedented look at high-energy cosmic phenomena like black holes, supernova remnants, and hot gas clouds.

Unlike Hubble and JWST, which capture visible and infrared light, Chandra detects X-rays emitted from the universe’s most extreme environments.

These vivid images, often shown in pink and purple, help scientists better understand how galaxies evolve, stars form, and matter behaves under extreme conditions, the Daily Galaxy has reported.

Combining Chandra’s data with other telescopes gives a fuller, more detailed view of the cosmos.
