Mike Davis, a Republican lawyer and former counsel to Sen. Chuck Grassley, has spent three years pushing for federal investigations into Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and senior intelligence and Justice officials.
Recent moves by Attorney General Pam Bondi—approving probes into NY Attorney General Letitia James, Sen. Adam Schiff, and Obama-era Russia assessments—have fueled Davis’s claims of a vast Democratic conspiracy against Trump.
Democrats and former officials dismiss the investigations as politically motivated, while Davis praises Bondi’s actions and urges aggressive grand jury probes, NBC News has reported.
Bondi also appointed Trump ally Ed Martin to oversee investigations into alleged civil rights violations and mortgage fraud linked to James and Schiff, which both have called political retaliation.
