India’s Modi cozies up with Putin, Xi in statement against Trump ‘bullying’

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping in Tianjin on Monday during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit, signaling closer ties with U.S. rivals amid trade tensions with Washington.

Modi emphasized India as a partner, not a rival, to China, and held a bilateral meeting with Putin, who called him a “dear friend.”

The visit follows the U.S. imposing a 50% tariff on Indian goods, and while Modi avoided directly criticizing President Trump, the trip highlights cooling U.S.-India relations, Fox News has reported.
