Nevada authorities have launched a homicide investigation after a man was found dead at the Burning Man festival on Saturday night.
Pershing County Sheriff Jerry Allen said the victim was a white male, 35–40 years old, about 6 feet tall and 200 pounds, with short brown hair and facial hair.
He was discovered in a pool of blood in Black Rock City as the festival’s main effigy burned.
Officials are asking for public help with identification and any leads on suspects, The Guardian has reported.
Burning Man organizers said they are cooperating with law enforcement, while police urged participants to remain vigilant as the investigation continues.
