Israel has launched a ground operation in Gaza City, IDF Chief Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir confirmed, calling it a decisive stage in the war against Hamas.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised soldiers and reiterated demands for Hamas to release all hostages, disarm, and relinquish control of Gaza.

Defense Minister Israel Katz warned Gaza City could face destruction similar to Rafah and Beit Hanoun if Hamas refuses Israel’s terms, ABC News has reported.

Meanwhile, humanitarian conditions in Gaza continue to deteriorate: the Hamas-run Health Ministry reported at least 76 people killed in the past day, including 12 seeking aid, while famine and malnutrition deaths—361 since October, including 130 children—are rising, with aid groups describing the situation as “mass starvation.”
