Man accused of beheading Dallas motel manager

Yordanis Cobos-Martinez, 37, has been arrested in Dallas on suspicion of capital murder after allegedly beheading motel manager Chandra Nagamallaiah, 50, with a machete.

According to court records, Cobos-Martinez attacked the victim after a dispute over a washing machine, chased him into the motel office, and continued the assault despite attempts by the victim’s family to intervene.

Police say he then placed Nagamallaiah’s head in a dumpster before being arrested nearby, still carrying the machete and the victim’s belongings, NBC News has reported.

Cobos-Martinez, a Cuban national with a prior deportation order, is being held without bond in Dallas County Jail.
